Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and AR AI Labs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17483830, registered office Suite A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom) (“we”, “us”) for playing Purrhaps and using purrhaps.app. By playing you accept them. If you don't, please don't play.
1. The game
Purrhaps is a free daily guessing game played inside ChatGPT. Everyone gets the same mystery each day and has 20 yes-or-no questions to work it out. Purrhaps is in early access: features, rules and puzzles may change, and we may pause or end the game at any time.
2. Who can play
You can play if you're allowed to use ChatGPT under OpenAI's terms, including its minimum age. If you're under 18, make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to play.
3. Playing fair
Please don't:
- use bots, scripts or other automated means to play, or let ChatGPT play on your behalf;
- try to get the answer early, get around the one-game-a-day rule, or tamper with results, streaks or rankings;
- attack, overload, probe or reverse engineer the service, or scrape it;
- post or ask anything unlawful, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit;
- spoil the answer publicly before it is revealed. This one is only good manners, but we'd appreciate it.
We may reset results or block access that breaks these rules.
4. Your questions
You keep any rights you have in the questions and guesses you type. You give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use them to run and improve the game, including showing them publicly without your name or player ID (for example, as the most popular first question or one of our favourite questions of the day). Don't include personal information in your questions.
5. Answers come from an AI
The answers to your questions are produced by an AI model, using a fact sheet we write for each puzzle. They are usually right but can be wrong or debatable. We review answers and correct mistakes when we find them. A correction may change answers that later players get, but it won't change your result.
6. Our content
The game, its puzzles, hints, fact sheets, the Schrö character, our designs and the Purrhaps name belong to us or our licensors. You're welcome to share your result line and links to purrhaps.app. Please don't copy the game or its content for other purposes without our permission.
7. ChatGPT and OpenAI
Purrhaps is an independent game that runs inside ChatGPT. It is not made, endorsed or sponsored by OpenAI. Your use of ChatGPT is governed by OpenAI's own terms and privacy policy.
8. Availability
We work hard to keep Purrhaps running, but it is provided “as is” and we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that a puzzle, streak or result won't be lost.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, because Purrhaps is free, we are not liable for any loss of profit, business, opportunity or data, or for losses that were not foreseeable. Our total liability to you for anything relating to Purrhaps is limited to £50. If you are a consumer, you also have statutory rights that these terms don't affect.
10. Ending
You can stop playing at any time, and you can delete your data by saying “delete my Purrhaps data” in the game. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the game changes. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change matters we'll say so on our home page. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your local courts. If you live elsewhere, you keep any mandatory protections of the law where you live.
